In Praise of Luke Gilman and ESPN360.com
We sincerely hope that our fellow 2L (at the University of Houston), Luke Gilman, will forgive our reposting his resolution praising ESPN360. His resolution is brilliant. We so strongly agree with his motivation and are so pleased that espn360.com is also available at our law school that we cannot but share in his joy and share his resolution with you in hopes that you might also discover that your school’s Internet carries that sweet, sweet espn360 signal to your laptop as you stand at lonely post in the library briefing cases or, as the case may be, wasting time…
WHEREAS the Law Review office is located in a dark and inhospitable cave deep in the bowels of the Law Center where neither natural light nor cellphone coverage can penetrate, WHEREAS it is now the heart of college football season, WHEREAS it is now apparently bizarro world in football season where teams like Ole Miss beat teams like Florida, let it be known that the University of Houston’s Internet Service Provider inexplicably grants free access to live video of aforesaid games on ESPN360.
BE IT RESOLVED that ESPN360 be duly recognized for its contributions to the sanity and mental health of law students and their ability to interact normally with non-law students in social settings.

Thanks for the shout out. I should mention that for athletically challenged schools such as…. sigh, the University of Houston, CBS College Sports Network provides good coverage as well, albeit for a price.
